What a beaut evening learning about star charts and manual navigation of the night sky! No one would ever want to leave behind digitally operated scopes and associated instruments, but there’s a certain satisfaction to be had by being able to find objects with nothing but a manual scope and a chart. Kind of like sailing by the wind and the stars. Thanks to everyone who came along to make this a wonderful session despite the cloud.
