IN THE MOOD FOR THE MOON!

6 May by Geoff McNamara

What an eventful night at MSATT last night! We were in the Mood for the Moon so we spent most of the time observing our sister planet. We also opened up M1 for some imaging – the first time for most people. The results are shown here.

An added highlight of the evening was “first light” for our newest addition: MSATT Mini! (First light is a special time for a telescope – large or small – when it “sees” light from the sky for the first time.) Mini will spend most of her time off-site but it was only fitting that first light was shared by the current MSATT cohort. Thanks everyone for making this a special event!
