IRRIGATION INSTALLED AT MSATT

4 Oct by Geoff McNamara

A new irrigation system has been installed at MSATT. This will improve much-needed plant growth, an important factor in improving image quality for students. Plants not only help regulate temperature in and around the domes but also shield the telescopes from car headlights. Thanks to MSATT’s radio astronomy mentor David for making this happen.

Donations of plants are welcome. Specifically, we need hakias and photinias. MSATT is open to suggestions for a ground cover that can survive the harsh conditions at Mount Stromlo.
