GEOFF MCNAMARA RETIRING BUT MSATT LIVES ON!
18 Aug by Geoff McNamara
There’s a behind-the-scenes change occurring at MSATT from mid-September. While I’ll continue to work at MSATT, it will be completely as a volunteer. After 37 years in the public education sector (14 years in Sydney; 23 years in Canberra), I’m retiring. But parents and students know the work we do at MSATT is far too important to stop. What we – from wonderful students to parents to grandparents – have achieved is amazing and will continue for decades. From the beginning in 2016 (see the photo of the 2017 launch and count the domes), people have contributed what they could: money, labour, materials, time, advice, expertise, and moral support. We did this because we all saw MSATT has one purpose: to teach. Importantly, it will remain a source of free education; anything else is abhorrent.
So, I’ll see you all at MSATT!
Clear skies!
Geoff Mc
p.s. Parents should know that all the usual protocols for the safety of the kids remain in place despite my no longer being employed as a teacher. Let me know if you have any concerns.
